The near head-on collision involving a Baltimore school bus, a Ford Mustang and an MTA transit bus made national news. A Baltimore police officer was assisting a stranded motorist on the side of the road last June when the driver of another vehicle lost control of his vehicle and crashed into her patrol car, which in turn struck her sending her over an embankment. Officials at the Anne Arundel County Fire Department reported that a fire broke out early Sunday morning at a Glen Burnie, Maryland, senior citizens midrise complex on Crain Highway. The senior escaped serious injury when the wheelchair he was sitting in caught fire and filled the first floor of the complex with smoke. Baltimore County Police said a 39-year-old woman who was hit by a car last December has recently died and an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
